Magnificent Sea World

Sealife, I don't know what power folds on me, but it is so mesmerizing. So far, I've been to seven SeaWorld in seven countries and I think that's not the end. These are just some of the ones I have had the good fortune and privilege to visit.

The Sea Life London
The Aquarium is correctly known as Sea Life London Aquarium, part of the chain of Sea Life centers and one of the biggest aquatic collections in Europe. The Aquarium has over 500 species of fish and over 2 million liters of water, sitting, unexpectedly, beneath the historic and beautiful County Hall building. It’s next door to the awesome London Eye, and almost directly opposite The Houses of Parliament.

Lisbon Oceanarium
(Oceanário de Lisboa) is the second-largest aquarium in Europe, after L’Oceanogràfic in Valencia. Its building is one of the most eye-catching in the Park of the Nations. It is “floating” in the water, and can be accessed by crossing a footbridge.

It is a deep-sea diving experience without any of the risks, with about 25,000 fish, seabirds, and mammals in an enormous central tank that is the size of four Olympic-sized swimming pools.

The aquarium holds 12 tonnes of sand, 25 tonnes of volcanic rock, and 78 tree trunks. More than 10,000 tropical freshwater fish of 40 different species, 46 aquatic plant species. It is just simply WOW.

L'Oceanogràfic Valencia
This aquarium in Valencia, Spain's City of Arts and Sciences district, is arguably one of the most unusual venues of its kind on the planet. L’Oceanogràfic's main building, with a curving roof and huge windows, is an attraction in its own right. The aquarium is made up of separate wings dedicated to different ocean ecosystems. It also has a dolphinarium that hosts training sessions and performances, and habitats for unique creatures such as walruses, penguins and beluga whales.

And this is the first time I've seen a hippo. What extraordinary creatures.

Tropicarium Budapest
Tropicarium does not only present a part of the deep-sea world but also a tiny bit of a tropical rainforest, where the sky thunders every quarter of an hour, rain starts to fall and lightning zigzags over the lazily lying Mississippi alligators.

Besides, the Tropicarium can boast with the largest sea aquarium in all Central Europe, the shark aquarium containing 1.4 million liters of saltwater, housing 8 two-meter-long sharks, and hundreds of colorful fish of other species, swimming around in peaceful harmony. In addition to the enormous fish-tank, there are 50 other ‘smaller' aquariums and terrariums on site.

Acuario de Sevilla
Appropriately situated by the river, close to the Parque de María Luisa, the modern Aquarium tells of the Guadalquivir’s importance in history, including Magellan’s historic round-the-world voyage, which departed from Seville in 1519.

Family-friendly fishy attractions – over 400 species housed in 31 tanks, with information displayed on LCD screens – include two bull sharks in a 9m-deep tank with a tunnel, a nursery with eggs and recently hatched fish, as well as a turtle-breeding program.

From this list, I missing the SEA LIFE Bray from Ireland, much smaller than the rest I visited, but it still impresses. And the first SeaWorld than I have ever visited the Marine life of Lido di Jesolo in Italy. Thanks for reading the article I hope you liked it, and we’ll read on in the next one. 😀😀
