In today's tutorial, I'm going to show you how to easily create a professional flyer using Photoshop. Let the fun begins.
Step 1
Create a new document. Make the Width 15cm, the Height 20cm, and the Resolution 300 pixels per inch, and set the mode to CMYK. This part is very important because we want to print our flyer and we don't want any surprises. With a Pen tool make a slightly rounded shape. You can check my post on how to use the pen tool.
Go to File - Place Embedded and choose the main image that you want to use for this project. Right-click and click on create a Clipping Mask. Transform and reposition your image so that fit nicely in the shape.
Step 2
Make a background layer active and create a new layer. Next, we'll add a shape in the middle of our flyer. Use a Pen tool to make the first point outside the frame and about 1.5 cm from the image layer, and then make the second point on the right side also outside the frame, somewhere around a third of the entire leaflet. Using the Bezier Curves make a slight curve. Connect the first and the second point by going around the bottom part of the flyer. Change the color to black.
Make a copy of the black shape layer, change the color to white and move it up about 5mm. Make a copy of the white shape layer, change the color to red (851c1c), move it about 5mm. Make the white layer active. Go to Edit - Transform - Distord, and move the upper right corner little bet up and the left bottom corner little bet down.
Step 3
Make the red layer active, click on the Fx icon, and choose Blending Option. Click on the Gradient Overlay, click on the gradient and change the left corner stop to a darker red color, I sampled dark red color with the eyedropper tool from the tomato on the picture. And I did the same for the right stop but this time I choose brighter red. Set the Blending Mode to Normal, Opacity to 100%, check Revers make the Style Radial make the Angel - 20, and Scale 100.
Next, go to Inner Shadow. Change the Blending Mode to Multiply, Opacity 85%, Angel 90, check Use Global Light set the Distance to 6, Choke 7, and Size to 51.
Step 4
Make the black layer active, add a new layer. With the Ellipse tool make an ellipse shape. Click on the Fx icon, and in the Layer Style choose Stroke. Set the Size to 15, Position - Outside, change the Blending Mode to Normal, set the Opacity 100%, Fill Type: color, and change the Color to white.
Make a two copies of the ellipse layer. Place it next to each other so that they overlap slightly, and move two copies of the ellipse layer slightly up. Go to File - Place Embedded and upload in each ellipse shape the remaining images that you want to use for this project. Apply a clipping mask to each image.
Step 5
Make the top layer active, add a new layer. From the toolbar choose the Custom Shape tool (located with the rectangle tool). Choose the Seal shape, change its color to black, and its stroke to red with the size 8 pixels. Place it on the top corner of the third ellipse shape. Make a copy of it, and place it on the left side of the first ellipse shape. This will be a place for special offers.
Add some text and the price offer.
Step 6
Next, we'll add text about the restaurant and the restaurant name. Choose a fond that is easily readable, and give a short description of the restaurant, change the color to white, make the size of the font about 8 pt. Using the bold fond type in the restaurant name, make the size around 20 pt, change the color to red. You can add a third text that says discounts or anything else. Change the color to with, align all text.
Step 7
On the left side of the flyer, we can add a QR code of the restaurant with the contact information, like phone number, website...
Step 8
In this last step, we'll add a logo in the top left corner of the flyer. Using the Ellipse tool make the ellipse shape, change its color to grey. Make a copy of the ellipse layer. Change the fill, of the layer copy, to no fill add the white stroke, size 5px, and change its Stroke Option to Dots, and scale it slightly. Add a restaurant logo.
And that is it. In just a few steps you can make a professional lucking flyer. Thanks for reading the article I hope you liked it, and we'll read on in the next one. 😀😀
