In this fun tutorial, we create a cool 3D text effect using Illustrator. Let the fun begins.
Step 1
Open in Adobe Illustrator, a new document size 1000 x 1000 pt. Type the text. Set the fill to black and stroke, size 3pt, to white. In this project, I use the phrase "Act Like Pro" using the font, Franklin Gothic Heavy. Align all three texts in the middle of the artwork.
Step 2
Select the first word, go to Effects - 3D - Rotate, set position to Isometric Top, and press Ok. Select the middle text, go to Effects - 3D - Rotate, set position to Isometric Right, and press OK. Select the last word, go to Effects - 3D - Rotate, set position to Isometric Left, and press OK.
Step 3
Select the first word (Act), go to Effects - Distort & Transform - Transform, set the copies to 15, set Move to 6pt, press OK. Select the second word (Like), go to Effects - Distort & Transform - Transform set the copies to 15, set Move: Horizontal to -6pt, and vertical to -3pt, press OK. Select the third word (Pro), go to Effects - Distort & Transform - Transform set the copies to 15, set Move: Horizontal to 6pt, and vertical to -3pt, press OK. Make sure that option is check.
After you apply the transform effect, your texts should look something like this.
Step 4
Set the text's position, again. Use the arrow keys to move the texts.
Step 5
The last step is applying color to the texts. Make a background with the rectangular tool, choosing a color that you want to use for your background. Right-click select Arrange - Sent to Back. Select all texts, set the stroke color the same as your background color, and set the fill color to your choosing. In this project, I am using white and a darker red. Select all texts, right-click select Create Outlines. Now you are ready to apply the gradient color of your choosing.
And that's it, folks we are done. Thanks for reading the article I hope you liked it, and we’ll read on in the next one.😅😅
